We're proud to announce that L'Aquila has been crowned Italy's Capital of Culture for 2026. The decision was made last Thursday by a jury set up at the Italian Ministry of Culture.
For our city, this will represent a sign of further rebirth after the 2009 earthquake, as it will be granting substantial public funding for the development of cultural projects and tourist-oriented initiatives.
