Day-trip to Montepulciano & Civita di Bagnoregio

Day-trip to Montepulciano & Civita di Bagnoregio

On Saturday 18, 2017 we went on a trip, as a way to say goodbye to our MathMods-year1 (from our partner program), who are going to leave Italy in a few days to start their Semester-2 in Hamburg.

We visited an area on the border between Lazio, Umbria and Tuscany, at around 3 hours' drive from L'Aquila, both dating back to the Etruscan times:

  1. Civita di Bagnoregio [Viterbo, Lazio], aka the dying/disappearing town
  2. Montepulciano [Siena, Tuscany], which is possibly more world-famous for its wine than for its history :)

Thank you, everyone, for joining us on the trip and we hope to see you soon in Italy!
