  • Aims:

    Classical statistical mechanics is a well-established theory, providing powerful tools to predict the onset of phase transitions and critical phenomena. However, recent developments in nanotechnology, biomolecular motors, and crowd dynamics push us beyond the boundaries of traditional concepts, into non-equilibrium domains that are still only partially explored. In this course, we will set out on a fascinating journey, guiding students through mathematical methods and Monte Carlo techniques to uncover the mechanisms behind real-world phenomena.
