Applying for an Italian Visa

Non-European students selected to study at the University of L'Aquila will need to apply for a student visa at the nearest Italian Embassy. The visa application requirements and processing time can be lengthy, taking anywhere from a few weeks up to several months.

All students, both European and non-European, must be adequately insured against accident, injury and ill-health while participating in the InterMaths Programme while they are outside their home country, that is to say local students won't need any additional health insurance while studying in their home country.
